Among the speakers of the conference, we will host renowned Hungarian and foreign experts who will share their experiences and thoughts about museums in the 21st century with the audience and their colleagues.

We are particularly pleased that AVICOM (ICOM International Committee for Audiovisual, New Technologies and Social Media) has accepted our invitation to the conference as an associated partner, and that several of their representatives will honour us with their presence and presentations. As one of their objectives is to make museum professionals aware of and better informed about the usefulness and potential of audiovisual and new technologies, their presence will guarantee useful and meaningful opportunities for professional debate and exchange of ideas.

MUSEAR WORKSHOP

During the workshop, participants will get an insight into the development of the MUSE.ar project and try out the MUSEAR platform.

The MUSEAR platform is a multi-module digital system that enables easy creation, maintenance and consumption of multimedia mobile applications. The primary purpose of the MUSEAR platform is to facilitate the creation of digital narratives in the field of cultural heritage (museums and galleries) and tourism.
The MUSEAR platform was developed by IT experts, heritage interpreters, and creators who express themselves in digital media.

The language of the conference is English, but Hungarian simultaneous interpretation will be available for participants. The workshop on the 15th December will be held in English without translation.
The conference is an associated programme of the MUSE.ar project.

ABOUT MUSE.ar PROJECT

MUSE.ar is an international project that connects cultural and creative sectors with the aim of bringing artists – and thus arts – closer to museum collections by trial a digital application. This tool will provide an opportunity for artists from different backgrounds to build their own narrative for museums and visitors, using a digital collection. This new approach to the use of digital collections can also serve educational purposes and, in addition to enhancing the visitor experience, will hopefully encourage collaboration between different sectors.

The project is co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.
